Account Manager (Full Time)

What are the responsibilities of the account manager?

As an account manager, you are co-responsible for purchasing non-ferrous metals in the global market. Non-ferrous metals are recovered after the combustion process from large incinerators around the world. We process these non-ferrous metal streams at our factory in Emmeloord in the Netherlands and return them to the market as raw materials. Your goal as an account manager is to ensure a sufficient flow of metals to be processed in our plant.

You purchase the metals in batches from existing and new customers. You lead purchase negotiations, analyze relevant markets and constantly search for new opportunities. Maintaining close contact with current customers, by telephone but also by carrying out customer visits, is obvious to you, but you also do everything you can to retain new customers and establish lasting relationships.

What are your knowledge, skills and competencies?

• You have a Bachelor level of professional training, are able to work independently, have business acumen, are proactive and enterprising. In addition, you have the power of persuasion regarding our product.
• You have excellent communication skills in English, German is a plus, both written and spoken.
• You are comfortable with computers and know the different Microsoft Office programs.
• You love to travel and are ready to travel the world
• You have a valid driver’s license, because for this position, you will often be traveling (50% on the road and 50% in a hybrid office).
